What is the October #prayadailyrosary challenge?

Women at the Well would like to invite you to Pray a Daily Rosary with us for the month of October. October is the month of the Rosary with the celebration of the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7th. Each day we will pray for a specific intention listed.

How you can join:

  • Join the Pray a Daily Rosary Facebook group for daily check-ins and motivation for the challenge

Here are some tips to make your challenge successful:

  • Find an Accountability partner - ask a friend to join the challenge with you and then keep each other accountable through the month and share your rosary stories with each other
  • Schedule it into your day - if you don't schedule it, it may not happen. Set a time and place to pray your rosary (or listen if your planning on listening to a podcast or recording)
  • Pick a Saint to pray it with you - tradition holds that you can ask a Saint to join you in prayer and pray for the specific intentions listed or any other intentions you may have. Find a Saint who had a particular devotion to the Rosary and ask them to join you
  • Commit, Commit, Commit - every day will pose it's own challenges but you can overcome them with the willpower to commit!

SHARE the Challenge with your friends and your parishes.

  • Post the picture of the Daily Intentions in your parish bulletin inviting the parish to pray a daily rosary for the month of October
  • Start a Rosary group - Gather a few friends, MOMS or just a group of women want to meet regularly (once a week) through the month of October to pray a Rosary and grow in Faith & Community together.
  • Share on your social media accounts, start a FB group to encourage your followers to pray a daily rosary

We can't wait to see all the posts, pictures and rosary stories! Be sure to use the hashtag #prayadailyrosary

"Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world' - Pope Blessed Pius IX

15 Promises of Praying a Daily Rosary

Our Lady revealed to St Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche 15 promises to those who faithfully pray the Rosary throughout their lives.

She  said that there would be additional benefits for all those who devoutly pray the Rosary.  Our Lady's promises are listed below. The Rosary is the prayer (non- Liturgical) with the most published Magisterial/ Papal documents expounding on its excellence.

These documents remind us that the Rosary is a clear and Holy path to sanctity, helping us grow in holiness because it brings us closer to Jesus.

"Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive powerful graces."

"I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary"

"The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies"

"It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things.  Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means."

"The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish."

"Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its Sacred Mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune.  God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death, if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worth of eternal life"

"Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church"

"Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the Saints in Paradise."

"I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary."

"All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by men in their necessities."

"I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death."

14

13

"All who recite the Rosary are my children, and brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ."

15

15

"Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination."

Reminder:

These promises mean that, by faithfully and devoutly praying the Rosary, Our Lady will obtain for us the necessary Graces to obtain said promises.  It is still up to each individual soul to RESPOND to those Graces in order to obtain salvation.

"There is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual in the personal life of each one of us, of our families .. that cannot be solved by the Rosary."

Sister Lucia dos Santos, one of the children to whom Our Lady appeared at Fatima.
