Women at Well invites you to walk through the Abide IN: Lent Daily Prayer Journal as we reflect on each Sunday’s Gospel.
A lot of us get caught up in the busyness of life and it's hard for us to carve out the time to pray.
The Abide In Daily Prayer Journal is a guided journal that allows you to ake just 15 minutes of you day to Abide IN God's Love.
Each day will prompt you to complete the daily prayer with space to journal and pray following the Abide IN model of prayer.
The Abide IN journal is a simple journal that invites you into what it looks like to build a daily habit of prayer. It's also equipped to be used for Adoration, confession, and morning and evening prayers.
You will find the Gospel reading for the season and a place to take Mass notes. Feel free to journal on your reflection of the Gospel, notes from the homily at Mass or maybe there was a special devotional that stood out to you or a reflection in prayer that you wanted to remember. Take the time to really be present to what the Gospel message is trying to prepare your heart for this season.
On Monday’s you are going to commit to praying a rosary and reflecting on the daily mysteries specific for that Monday. Each reflection is specific for the Gospel reading and the preparation for the Christmas season
On Tuesday’s you will find a theological overview. You will get the context of where the Gospel message is coming from and why the Church chose to read it at Advent
Wednesday’s will provide you the time to read, reflect and meditate on the Gospel message and how you can apply it to your daily life. In this space feel free to make it your own, you can reflect on the whole Gospel or just find one phrase or verse that stands out to you. Don’t forget to turn your ponderings into a prayer from the heart. Inviting you to connect with God during this time.
Thursdays will be self-reflective, really taking the time to see how this Gospel message can be applied to your daily life. You are preparing for Christ to come at Christmas, so it is important to get your heart and your life ready.
On Friday’s you will reflect on a Sacred piece of Art, deciding how it draws us into God’s love this season. Throughout the centuries the Church has provided the opportunities to draw us to the Truth, beauty, and goodness of the Catholic Church through art.
On Saturday’s you will rest + pray a Psalm from the Daily Mass readings for the day, if you want to dive deeper into the psalms consider praying with morning prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours
"returning our hearts daily to the Lord"
Each day is provided a space to journal and pray following the Daily Metanoia prompts.
The prompts are only found int he Abide IN Daily Prayer Journals.
Each Abide IN prompt will help you to build a habit of prayer to keep you Abiding IN God's Love.
List 3 things that you are grateful for today. Gratitude is a muscle of the mind that needs to be built and strengthened. Consider all the things that you are grateful for during this season and list them in this space.
List your prayer intentions and those items that are heavy on your heart to lift up in prayer for the day.
Our Lady of Fatima encouraged the seers to "Pray a Daily Rosary." May your schedule only permits you to pray a Hail Mary, or even a decade of the rosary. Consider who you can offer up your daily Hail Mary or Rosary Intention for and list it here.
Write the verse or verses that you are meditating on for the day, or maybe there is a phrase or a passage of Scripture that resonated with you as you read the Gospel.
This is where you will list where you have seen God's graces in your life, particularly during the liturgical season. Where have you seen Him drawing you into His heart and His love. Where have you seen Him working on the lives of those around you.
What virutes or areas of your life are you focusing on for the day or the liturgical season. ist these virtues here and then make a plan on how to grow in these virutes.
Turn all your ponderings into a prayer from the heart to lift up to God. This is the space to journal your closing prayer.
You can finish your daily prayer time with either an Our Father, Hail Mary, or Glory Be. If time permits, then you can finish with all three.
